Custom CNC Machining of an Aluminum Case for the Transportation Industry
Products manufactured for the transportation industry require durability and features that will provide years of hard use. PCR Technologies, Inc. was contracted with producing this aluminum case because of its reputation as a quality provider of custom CNC machined products.
This customer required 100 aluminum cases measuring 8.250" in length, 5.875" in width, and 1.125" in height, and composed of 2024-T351 aluminum. Manufacturing of this product required nine individual CNC milling capabilities which had to meet tolerances of ±.0005". Features included engraving of serial numbers, Helicoil inserts, and a chemical conversion coating. 100 of these cases where manufactured and delivered to our cusotm in New York within five weeks.
