CNC Milling of a G10/FR4 Cover
A customer in the electronics industry needed a cover machined from G-10/FR-4 phenolic, to Mil-Spec MIL-I-24768-27. The customer supplied DXF print called for a finished size of 3.375″ in length, .500″ in width, and .750″ in height. The manufacturing process included CNC profiling, pocketing, and drilling, and required tolerances of ±.005″ for machining, and ±.002″ for hole tolerances.
All of the machining was completed on our state of the art HAAS CNC mill, and was put through rigorous quality control before being delivered to the customer in New York. We produced 200 units with a lead time of two weeks.
